This was designed to deal with the overwhelming difficulty of intubating a patient outside in the direct sunlight. Too much ambient light obscures the light of the scope leaving you looking at a "black hole." Made of washable blackout theater cloth, our Daylight Intubation Hood blocks out almost all ambient light allowing easy visualization of the patient's vocal cords facilitating an easier intubation.
